MUSIC BY 13 Sunday, February 16, 2025, 3:30 pm Our chamber concert with lots of musicians was so well received, that we’re going to do it again! The original Appalachian Spring was written by Aaron Copland for 13 players—piano, winds, and nine strings. It’s an iconic breath of early spring air. Also included will be Strum, a piece for strings by Jessie Montgomery and Concertina da Camera for flute, clarinet, bassoon, and piano by Peggy Glanville-Hicks. Our good friend Amitai Vardi will join us on clarinet. Wine reception and light dinner buffet included.
AMERICA SINGS Sunday, June 8, 2025, 5:30 pm A Join us as we feature classical songs from the American canon such as Copland, Barber, and Duke and selections from the popular American songbook by Sondheim, Kern, and Rodgers & Hammerstein. We welcome back soprano Lara Troyer and tenor Tim Culver, who will join Cynthia Cioffari, Eric Charnofsky, and George Pope in a celebration of American song. Dinner and champagne included.
